NAMPA, Idaho - September 22, 2000 - Micron Electronics, Inc., (www.micronpc.com, Nasdaq: MUEI) today announced its selection of Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) as a new microprocessor vendor for micronpc.com. The addition of AMD as a supplier is consistent with micronpc.com's overall philosophy of providing the latest technology to its customers. This alliance gives customers more choice and flexibility in desktop systems available from micronpc.com. Together, Micron and AMD will combine their technology innovation to bring computer solutions with solid performance, value and price at real-time to market.

This new, affordably priced desktop system is immediately available at Best Buy locations throughout the US. The Micron Millennia RS2150A is the first Duron-based desktop available from Best Buy.
