~ SiS Expands Size of Computex Taipei 2005 ~

Taipei, May 31, 2005 ---Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) announced today its display theme for the Computex Taipei 2005 computer show -- “In Step with the Latest Global Technology Trends." Products on display will include new SiS chipsets that support the latest Dual Core CPU technology, the advanced PCI Express graphics specifications, DDR2 memory, Wireless LAN, Gigabit Ethernet and 64-bit operating systems.

The exhibition will be an opportunity for SiS to display the fruits of its many years of development in the computer chipset field as well as an opportunity for guests from around the world to experience the full line of exciting new SiS products.

After the March CeBIT exhibition in Hanover, Germany, at which SiS introduced its new series of PCI Express chipsets, SiS will unveil yet another new line of chipsets at this year’s Computex Taipei. Chipsets including the SiS656FX, SiS656, SiS756, SiS761GX, SiS649FX, SiS649, SiS741CX Northbridge chips and SiS966, SiS966L Southbridge chips will be on display. Also certain attract significant attention will be the demonstration of a wide range of operating platforms utilizing advanced SiS chipsets, a testament to SiS' outstanding achievements and steadfast commitment to R&D.

The SiS exhibition at this year’s Computex will be divided into three sections: two dynamic exhibition zones focusing on desktop platforms and one static exhibition zone displaying motherboards, embedded systems and wireless networking products based on SiS solutions. The desktop computer section will consist of four flagship products dynamically presenting SiS chipsets supporting the latest trends in the industry for Intel and AMD platforms, including Dual Core CPU technology, the advanced PCI Express graphics specification, the latest DDR2 memory standard, WLAN wireless and 64-bit operating systems. The notebook computer section will display SiS-based notebook products, and the static exhibition zones will include embedded systems motherboards, a PC motherboard wall and wireless networking products.

The dynamic flagship products on display will include the SiS656FX/966 chipset for the Intel® Pentium® 4; the SiS756/965 chipset and SiS163 WLAN chip combination for the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 platform; the SiS761GX/966 chipset for the AMD Athlon™ 64 FX; and the embedded system SiS741CX chip with the AMD Geode™ NX CPU combination. The embedded system is the result of a hugely successful cooperative development project between SiS and AMD. The platform was widely praised when it was unveiled at CeBIT in Hanover.

The notebook computer exhibition zone will be represented by the SiS656 and SiSM661 chipsets for the Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 and Intel® Pentium® M CPUs, as well as the SiS756, SiS760 and SiS760GX chipsets for the AMD Turion™ 64 platform. Notebook computers built on SiS chipsets will include products based on the SiS656 chipset from Clevo, the SiS M661 chipset from Acer, SiS756 from Asus, SiS760 from Fujitsu-Siemens, and SiS760GX from Asus.

At the static exhibition zone, a motherboard wall will display the full line of motherboards from the world’s most widely recognized motherboard brands including ECS, Foxconn/WinFast, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, AOpen, ASRock and FSC, all built on SiS chipsets such as the SiS656, SiS649, SiS756, SiS755, SiS761GX, SiS760 and SiS760GX. The wide range of motherboards from different suppliers shows customers’ commitment to SiS products.

The embedded systems exhibition zone will focus on the combination of the SiS741CX chip and the AMD Geode™ NX CPU. This new embedded platform has already been adopted by a number of industrial computer and thin client manufacturers, and embedded system motherboards from Ibase and Commel will be on display to explain SiS’s outstanding success in embedded systems development.

The wireless networking exhibition zone will concentrate on SiS’s achievements in the wireless field, and will include products from Cameo, Global Sun, CC&C, TP-Link, KingNet, Qcom, Astarte, Alpha Network, Cybertan, Surecom and Fiwin. A wide variety of 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g products designed on the SiS163/163U MAC/BB wireless chips will be on display, from USB Dongles to Modules, Mini PCI and CF products.

In addition to the technology products on display, the SiS exhibition zones will also be lit up by exciting showgirl performances, sure to attract even larger crowds.

And in addition to the main exhibition area at the Taipei World Trade Center, SiS has also set up a special exhibition area on the 10th floor of the Taipei Grand Hyatt, Room 1007. This area will also display the outstanding achievements of SiS technologies in a friendlier and more comfortable setting.
